NSR Fishing has focused their efforts in the states of Alabama and Florida the past few months to find the best high school anglers possible for college coaches to recruit. Now that focus turns to the great state of Texas. With a partnership agreement with the THSBA in place, NSR Fishing will be attending the Palestine Regional Championship on April 9 & 10. NSR feels that the Texas tournaments will allow us an opportunity to get in front of some of the best talent the state has to offer. THSBA will hold their State Championship on Lake Belton in May and NSR Fishing will be there as well. “We have college coaches asking us to look at the Texas student/anglers. They are wanting to recruit Texas hard because they know the caliber of anglers it produces”, says NSR President and CEO Rusty Rigney.
NSR Scouts will be on the water at Lake Palestine and Belton Lake scouting and videoing anglers for college programs. Matt Tolnay, Director of the Texas High School Bass Association says, “Having NSR Fishing involved with our tournaments proves that we truly have some of the best anglers in the country and that our tournaments are some of the best run events in all of high school fishing. We are very excited to hav e the NSR Fishing crew coming to Texas”.
National Scouting Report has been assisting athletes and families in Texas with the recruiting process for over 42 years. Our formula for success is simply to find the best athletes possible and get their information in front of the right coaches for consideration. NSR High School Pro Staff members have already achieved great success with college commitments happening daily. “Texas has been one of our primary targets from the beginning. With the size of the tournaments and the versatility of the anglers, we know we will find some tremendous talent at these events”, says Rigney.
NSR Fishing will be adding the winning teams of the three Texas Regionals (Palestine, Texoma, Travis) to the NSR High School Pro Staff as well as the Lake Belton State Championship Team. We look forward to seeing what the Texas anglers have to offer.
